Self Insertion

I inserted myself from a picture on the beach by my house on a paddle board, to the beautiful Hawaii ocean with a dolphin jumping in front of me. After looking at different options, I wanted to combine images at an ocean scene. After I came across dolphins jumping, I thought it would be a fun idea to create the image with myself in the background, and the dolphin jumping over me while I was paddle boarding. This assignment was fun, and I may use these skills in the future in making funny cards for my friends and family.

Vector Illustration

This is my version of the image below. I chose to do a Mercedes-Benz vehicle because I am employed at Mercedes-Benz of Tampa and thought this image is something I would be proud of accomplishing and could show my co-workers. I had some difficulty creating the curve in the car but found I could find some detail in the shading.

Joshua Corpse Project

For my version of Joshua, I decided to continue with the Mickey Mouse theme. I added the mickey mouse logo throughout the image and on his chest. I kept the original as in tact as possible, adjusting a few things I would make the image look better.

The Turtle's Nest Logo

When making my "The Turtles Nest" logo I wanted to combine the name of the company along with a fun and recognizable image of a turtle to bring the two together. For obvious reasons, I stuck with two shades of green for a color scheme, using the colors both on the turtle and the text. Although I used as simple graphic of a turtle, I added detail in the turtle shell and sand along side of the turtle itself.

Caligramme

I chose to do a palm tree for my caligramme project because I am from Tampa and live at the beach. I was thinking of things that I feel I am surrounded by in my every day life, therefore I found a palm tree to be appropriate. I chose to do gradient colors for all of the elements of the tree to create more of a realistic illusion.

Logo Sketches

These are a few of example sketch ideas for my logo for The Turtle's Nest. I did a few logo's with a picture of a turtle, but also showed possibilities of just the name of the company as the logo. In the end, I decided to combine a few of these, including both an image of a turtle and the name of the company.
